Power Platform Developer/Development Architect Are you a Power Platform Developer or Technical Architect with strong hands-on experience across Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse and SharePoint?

Please note: Hands-on Microsoft Power Platform development, mobile-enabled enterprise application development and architect-level solution design capability are essential. SAP BTP experience is desirable but not mandatory.
My client is a global mining organisation seeking a
Power Platform Developer/Development Architect to design, build and support business applications across field, site and corporate environments.
You do not need to have held this exact job title. Senior Power Platform Developers and Technical Leads with the required hands-on experience and architecture capability are encouraged to apply.
THE ROLE You will combine hands-on development with responsibility for solution design, working closely with business stakeholders, technical teams and external vendors to deliver secure, scalable and supportable applications.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing business applications using Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse and SharePoint
- Building mobile-enabled applications that support field, site and corporate users
- Defining solution architecture, reusable components, development patterns and technical standards
- Translating business requirements into practical application designs and delivery plans
- Integrating applications with enterprise systems, databases, APIs and Microsoft cloud services
- Managing application lifecycle activities, including environments, solution packaging, testing and deployment
- Ensuring solutions meet security, performance, governance and operational support requirements
- Working with security, infrastructure, data and integration teams to resolve technical dependencies
- Preparing solution documentation and supporting production handover
- Providing technical guidance to developers and supporting citizen development initiatives where required
The environment includes
Microsoft Power Platform, Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse, SharePoint and enterprise integrations, with opportunities to support SAP BTP development where relevant.
ABOUT YOU You will bring strong enterprise application development experience, remain comfortable working hands-on and confidently explain technical decisions to business and technology stakeholders.
You may currently be a Senior Power Platform Developer, Power Platform Technical Lead, Technical Architect or Solution Architect with an active development focus.
You must bring:
- 8+ years of enterprise application development experience, with demonstrated architect-level design capability
- Strong hands-on Microsoft Power Platform development experience, including Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse and SharePoint
- Experience designing and developing mobile-enabled enterprise applications
- Experience defining solution architecture, development patterns and integration approaches
- Experience connecting applications with enterprise systems, databases, APIs or Microsoft cloud services
- Strong understanding of application lifecycle management, deployment, documentation and production support handover
- Experience working within IT governance, cybersecurity and change management processes
- The ability to translate business requirements into secure, scalable and maintainable applications
- Strong stakeholder engagement, communication and collaboration skills
Experience with
SAP BTP, SAP Build, SAP Business Application Studio, SAP Mobile Services, CAP or UI5/Fiori would be advantageous, but is not essential.
Microsoft Azure, Power Platform governance, Center of Excellence experience or a background in mining, industrial or complex site-based environments would also be valuable.
ROLE DETAILS - Initial 6-month contract
- October 2026 start
- Remote within Australia
- Optional office access for Melbourne-based candidates
- Hands-on development combined with solution architecture ownership
