Job Overview

A banking client in Muscat, Oman is urgently hiring an experienced Power BI Developer specializing in data engineering, reporting and dashboard development. The role requires strong hands-on experience in Power BI, data modeling, SQL-based ETL and reporting solutions within the banking domain.

The successful candidate will work with transactional and financial data to develop, optimize and maintain business intelligence solutions. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports.
• Build data models using Star Schema and Snowflake Schema approaches.
• Develop DAX measures and calculations.
• Use Power Query for data transformation and preparation.
• Develop SQL-based ETL processes.
• Work with SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services).
• Develop and manage reports using Power BI Report Server in an on-premise environment.
• Implement and manage Row-Level Security (RLS).
• Support data governance and secure reporting practices.
• Optimize Power BI report and dashboard performance.
• Work with transactional and financial banking data.
• Collaborate with banking and technical teams to deliver reporting and analytics solutions.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of professional experience as a Power BI Developer.
• 5+ years of hands-on Power BI dashboard development experience.
• Strong experience with DAX and Power Query.
• Strong SQL and SQL-based ETL development skills.
• Experience with Star Schema and Snowflake Schema data modeling.
• Hands-on experience with Power BI Report Server (On-Premise).
• Strong knowledge of Row-Level Security (RLS) and data governance.
• Experience in Power BI report performance optimization.
• Experience with SSIS.
• Banking domain experience is mandatory.
• Strong understanding of transactional and financial data.
• Notice period must be between 0 and 30 days.
