Platform engineer on Apple's internal Device Management team, building and automating large-scale device management (Jamf Pro MDM) and asset lifecycle tracking services for Apple's manufacturing fleet. Day to day involves configuration/deployment workflows, systems integration via REST APIs, and scripting in Python and shell.
We are looking for engineers who are passionate about technology and its implementation in large-scale environments. If you thrive on solving complex, real-world problems, and on building something from the ground up, we’d love to talk to you.
Device Management keeps Apple's devices secure and productive, and asset management ensures each one is accurately tracked through its lifecycle. Our goal is to make deployment, configuration, and lifecycle management seamless and automated, so devices are ready for the work they support with minimal manual effort.
Our team is expanding device management services to support our manufacturing environments, at significant scale. It spans two connected areas: device management, covering configuration, policy, and deployment across the fleet; and asset management, covering each device through its lifecycle from procurement to retirement. The workflows that connect the two are what define the device experience, and you'll work across both, with support to build depth on the asset management side as you go.
