The VA North Texas Health Care System in Dallas, TX is seeking a Gastroenterologist to provide comprehensive care for patients who have illnesses within the scope of Gastroenterology. The physician may have responsibilities in other areas such as, education and research. A Recruitment/Relocation Incentive may be authorized to a highly qualified candidate. This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP).

The Dallas VA Medical Center is seeking an energetic Gastroenterologist with expertise in Advanced Endoscopy. Promotes and conducts high-quality patient-centric clinical care, inpatient and outpatient GI consultation, procedures, night and weekend call, as well as quality improvement activities, and other duties as assigned. Research, administrative, and quality improvement opportunities are available for those interested, including opportunities to collaborate with physicians at University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center and other VA hospitals. An outstanding ACGME-accredited fellowship training program in gastroenterology / hepatology provides ample teaching opportunities. Faculty interested in building an academic career with a focus on advanced endoscopy are strongly encouraged to apply. The Staff Physician reports to the Gastroenterology Section under the Medicine Service at the VAMC and must be for a faculty appointment at UT Southwestern. Recruitment Incentive (Sign-on Bonus) or Relocation Incentive: May be authorized for highly qualified candidate Education Debt Reduction Program (Student Loan Repayment): This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific eligibility requirements per VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Program Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) & eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after review of the EDRP application.
