Spilberg is hiring a PHP Software Engineer with a cloud/DevOps focus in the Netherlands, paying up to €5,200 per month in a hybrid remote setup. Day to day the engineer develops scalable PHP applications, builds APIs, and works with containers and CI/CD pipelines.

About the rolePHP Software Engineer (Symfony / AWS)
As a PHP Software Engineer, you will contribute to a business-critical platform where reliability, performance, and scalability are key. You will develop and maintain applications that integrate external data sources and ensure stable API connectivity within a modern DevOps environment.
You will have significant ownership of your solutions and collaborate closely with cross-functional technical teams to deliver high-quality systems.
Responsibilities
Translate functional requirements into robust technical solutions
Develop and maintain scalable PHP applications
Build and optimize RESTful APIs
Work with containerized solutions
Implement unit, integration, and functional testing
Improve system performance and reliability
Contribute actively within a DevOps and CI/CD setup
Technical environment (among others)
PHP (3+ years of professional experience)
Symfony
PHPUnit
REST APIs
Docker / containerization
Cloud services (preferably AWS, or willingness to work with AWS)
Redis / caching strategies
CI/CD pipelines
Git
What you bring
Bachelor's level of thinking and working
Experience with cloud-based or containerized software
Experience with API integrations
Strong English communication skills
Interest in working in a cloud-native environment
You are currently living in the Netherlands
