Outbound SDR

Job Responsibilities:

As an outbound SDR for our linear motion division, you will prospect into an assigned industry, vertical and Target Account List to generate qualified leads for the downstream account executive and engineering teams. Your prospects will be OEMs and manufacturers that use linear motion as components for their final manufactured product, as well as system designers, integrators and contract manufacturers working with and for these OEMs. You’ll be targeting the North American market.

You’ll be supported by our B2B growth marketing team with campaigns, ads, content, and retargeting.

You’ll research, map, plan and execute outreach in a strategic manner. Working the top of the funnel, you’ll identify good fit accounts within your industry group and add them to the CRM. You’ll then research and map the accounts to identify selling triggers, dynamics, and the potential buying committee members, including stakeholders, decisions makers, influencers, and blockers. Staying informed about your prospects, you’ll then reach out with pertinent information, content or other relevant offer and work to establish rapport and better understand their needs and pain points.

In doing so, you’ll employ an omnichannel approach leveraging cold calls, LinkedIn, email, and the available marketing support.

Once connected with a prospect, you’ll work with our engineering team to identify, recommend, and present specific Progressive Automations products as solutions to their individual requirements. Throughout the sales cycle, you’ll nurture your prospects to stay top of mind.

Working towards a fully qualified lead, you’ll evaluate your prospects based on their Challenges, Authority, Money and Prioritization throughout the sales process, and compare with Progressive Automations qualification requirements. You’ll work with the prospect until they meet or exceed these requirements before handing the fully qualified lead off to the appropriate downstream team.

To be successful in this role, you’ll need to stay fully informed on market trends, customers, competitors, industry sectors, applications & products.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Strong background in technical sales or lead generation for B2B with a minimum of two years of experience in a relevant role
• Proven track record of success in B2B sales or lead generation
• Experience with targeting and prospecting for a manufacturing or technical type business with customized solutions.
• Very good English on a native speaker level.
• Ability to deliver consistent pipeline without inbound leads.
• Experience working with CRMs and sales enablement platforms, like HubSpot.

It is optional but helpful if you have experience with linear motion, actuators, controls, or motors. A mechatronics degree/certification and an engineering background are also helpful, but not required.

Who you are and what you will bring to the table:

• A strong sense of drive, ownership, and a self-starting attitude, but willing to ask for direction when needed.
• Disciplined work ethics, time management and organizational skills.
• The skills, experience, and confidence necessary for cold outreach.
• The ability to work as part of a cross functional team to achieve a joint goal.
• Strong creative, analytical and data driven approach, and a desire to test and learn whenever possible.
• The endurance to stay motivated when dealing with a long sales cycle.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• A strong drive to not just meet but exceed goals with a hunter mindset.
• Natural curiosity to stay fully informed on market trends, customers, competitors, industry sectors, applications & products.
• The ability to develop a deep understanding of our customers, their needs and the buyer’s journey.

What We Offer:

• Work with an established market leader with high YoY growth, flat hierarchies and a collaborative, exciting work environment.
• Opportunities to move to an Account Executive role
• Highly competitive compensation structure with uncapped, performance-based incentives. The winning candidate will be able to directly influence their take home pay through the success of their prospecting efforts.
• An environment where your achievements directly contribute to the company’s overall success and you’re able to make a difference.
• A workplace where you can directly influence outcomes and decision making with your personal values, perspective, opinions and experience.
