What you'll do
As the Operations Specialist, you will play a key role in ensuring the effective delivery and continuous improvement of enterprise systems across Queensland Health. You will establish and maintain strong working relationships across the branch to support the alignment and integration of operational services, processes and service levels. The role involves providing high-level technical expertise in the analysis of complex IT system issues, developing innovative solutions and driving service improvements. You will apply best-practice approaches to change management, capacity planning, incident management, risk management and business continuity planning, preferably within an ITIL framework, to ensure reliable and efficient systems support. Working collaboratively with stakeholders, you will help deliver end-to-end service management outcomes that support the operational needs of Queensland Health.
About you
We are searching for someone who has:
- Ability to develop and promote Information Technology Service Management (ITSM) processes based on the ITIL framework, primarily incident / problem / change / release / configuration management. (SFIA Code: ITMG 5, USUP 4; PBMG 5; CHMG 4)
- Technical expertise and experience in some of the following technology domains to analyse ICT system issues, and contribute to the design and implementation of appropriate solutions and improvements. (SFIA Code: SYSP 4; TECH 4, HSIN 5)
- Demonstrated ability to understand, explain and apply cloud principles and practises in terms of scalability, resiliency, security, cost, automation, and management and monitoring.
- Ability to provide high level of technical expertise to provide technical direction, standardisation, professional advice and support of enterprise infrastructure in a large customer focused organisation
