1. Loan Administration & Credit Operations
- Process loan drawdowns, disbursements, principal repayments, interest and fee settlements, rollovers and interest rate resets for bilateral and syndicated loans, only after confirming that approved terms, conditions precedent and documentation are in place.
- Book and maintain loan and facility records accurately in the core banking system,ensuring they match approved credit terms and limits.
- Process funding, repayment and interest notices from agent banks for syndicated loan participations; track payment dates and promptly notify the Loan Department of any overdue amounts.
2. Deposit & Remittance Operation
- Process deposit operational workflows, including account opening/closure setup in the core banking system, deposit placements, maturity rollovers, and interest payments, withdrawals.
- Process inward and outward domestic clearing and cross-border SWIFT remittances with maker/checker segregation; ensure that required originator and beneficiary information is complete and that sanctions screening is performed and cleared before funds are released.
- Coordinate customer onboarding operations, performing customer due diligence (CDD) documentation completeness checks in close liaison with Compliance.
3. Treasury & Funding Settlement
- Execute and settle treasury and investment transactions (including interbank placements, foreign exchange and bonds), covering confirmation matching,independent verification of standard settlement instructions, and settlement through correspondent banks and custodians.
- Perform daily reconciliations of Nostro, Vostro, and MAS settlement accounts, escalating and investigating breaks or failed trades promptly.
4. Operational Risk & Client Due Diligence
- Perform customer due diligence (CDD) checks and documentation for depositing and borrowing clients before onboarding, including identification and verification of customers, beneficial owners and authorised signatories, in accordance with the Branch’s AML/CFT Policy and applicable MAS requirements.
- Conduct name screening (sanctions, politically exposed persons and adverse news) and refer potential matches to the Compliance Department for disposition; no account is to be opened or transaction processed until CDD is completed and the required approvals are obtained.
- Maintain customer static data and authorised signatory records; support periodic reviews, trigger-event updates and dormant-account monitoring.
- Escalate unusual or suspicious activity promptly to the Compliance Department through the Branch’s internal reporting channel, observing confidentiality and the prohibition on tipping-off.
- Maintain strict adherence to dual controls, signature verifications, and segregation of duties in all operational processing.
- Support Business Continuity Management (BCM) and disaster recovery drills.
- Perform end-of-day balancing and exception checks; report errors, near misses and incidents to the Risk Management Department promptly and follow up on corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with the Branch’s retention requirements.
- Undertake other duties assigned by the Head of Operations and/or General Manager, provided they do not compromise the independence of the role.
5. General Office Administration
- Support branch general affairs, vendor management, office supplies procurement, and administrative facilities management to maintain smooth office operations.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Degree or Diploma in Banking, Finance, Business Administration, or related disciplines.
- 2–5 years of hands-on operations experience in a corporate or wholesale bank in Singapore. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
- Familiarity with loan administration (bilateral and syndicated facilities), SWIFT messaging, and treasury settlement processes.
- Working knowledge of Singapore regulatory clearing systems and MAS guidelines governing banking operations.
- Meticulous with strong numerical accuracy and risk awareness and ability to meet daily cut-offs and handle exceptions.
- High standard of integrity; observes customer-information confidentiality under the Banking Act and the Branch’s code of conduct.
- Proficient in English and Mandarin.
