👉 Why We Need You

We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically proficient Network Security Appliance Engineer to join our Technology Operations team. This role is responsible for the end-to-end management, deployment, and optimization of enterprise-grade security appliances (firewalls, IPS/IDS, VPNs) and load balancers, both on-premises and in the cloud. You will play a key part in safeguarding our hybrid network infrastructure, ensuring performance, high availability, and compliance with industry security standards.

👉 What You’ll Be Doing

Network & Security Appliance Management: Configure, deploy, and maintain security appliances such as firewalls (Palo Alto, Fortinet, Juniper, Check Point), IPS/IDS, load balancers (F5, Citrix ADC), and VPN concentrators. Ensure optimal performance, availability, and health of these devices across all sites and cloud environments.
Firewall, IPS/IDS & Security Policy: Develop, implement, and audit firewall and IPS/IDS policies. Regularly review rulesets and configurations for security and compliance. Respond to security incidents and proactively monitor logs/alerts to detect threats.
Load Balancer Configuration & Traffic Optimization: Design, configure, and maintain application load balancing for high availability, traffic distribution, and performance optimization. Tune and troubleshoot load balancer issues for mission-critical applications.
VPN & Remote Access: Configure and support site-to-site and remote access VPNs (IPSec, SSL VPN). Troubleshoot and ensure secure connectivity for remote users and partners.
Network Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Leverage network/security monitoring tools to track device health, performance, and threats. Investigate and resolve incidents, conduct root cause analysis, and implement preventive measures.
Cloud Security Appliance Management: Deploy and manage security appliances and load balancers in public cloud environments (AWS, Azure), including cloud-based firewalls, WAFs, and VPNs. Integrate with hybrid network architectures.
Automation & Scripting: Develop and maintain scripts (Python, Bash, PowerShell) to automate routine tasks, configuration backups, and reporting.
Documentation & Compliance: Maintain up-to-date documentation for appliance configurations, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and change logs. Ensure compliance with industry standards (ISO, PCI, GDPR, etc.) and internal security requirements.
Collaboration & Support: Work with Security, Infrastructure, and ServiceDesk teams to deliver network security projects and initiatives. Provide escalation support and knowledge transfer to other IT staff.
Continuous Improvement: Conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability scans. Recommend and implement best practices, new technologies, and process improvements.
