Network Engineer Battery Storage

You will design, operate, and maintain the operational technology network for battery storage systems. You will define site network architecture, integrate industrial protocols, manage fiber and copper infrastructure, strengthen cybersecurity, commission equipment, and validate network performance during commissioning.

Responsibilities

• Own operational technology networks for battery storage equipment
• Design network topology, redundancy, switching, VLANs, subnets, and IP addressing
• Manage fiber and copper physical infrastructure
• Integrate Modbus TCP, DNP3, and IEC 61850 protocols
• Implement PTP and IRIG-B time distribution
• Secure the storage plant network through segmentation, firewalls, remote access, and patch management
• Specify and commission industrial networking equipment
• Validate network performance, failover, latency, packet loss, and communications during commissioning

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, or a related technical discipline, or 6+ years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree
• 3+ years of industrial, utility, or operational technology network engineering
• Ability to perform hands-on work in varying weather, tight quarters, and at heights
• Ability to work extended hours and weekends as needed
• Ability to provide 24/7 on-call emergency support
• Willingness to work on-site in Memphis, Tennessee
• Ability to travel up to 25%
• Valid driver's license
