Mobile Developer - React Native

Salary: $89,000 - 140,000 per year

Requirements:

• Strong experience building cross-platform mobile applications with React Native
• Hands-on experience with Expo and its development workflow
• Proficiency in TypeScript
• Experience with Firebase, including Firestore
• Strong debugging skills, including diagnosing issues across mobile apps, native layers, and backend integrations
• English language proficiency required
• Preferred: experience with Bitbucket, CI/CD pipelines, mapping technologies such as MapLibre or Mapbox, mobile app releases to the App Store or Google Play, Agile development, JIRA, polished UI development, web development, or ATV/UTV off-road riding
• New Windsor, NY location preferred; willingness to travel up to 25% preferred

Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain features for RuggedNavigator, our React Native and Expo rider app
• Use Firebase and Firestore for data storage, synchronization, and real-time functionality
• Diagnose and resolve issues across the app to provide a smooth, reliable rider experience
• Collaborate with our product and RuggedAdmin teams to deliver connected features
• Contribute to release processes and, over time, improvements to CI/CD

We are Rugged Riders, building RuggedNavigator for the off-road ATV and trail community. In this hands-on role, youll own core features across the apps interface and Firebase-backed data layers, working closely with our small product team to help riders access trails safely and stay connected. We offer an annual salary of $89,000–$140,000, flexible scheduling, health insurance, and paid time off. The role is hybrid remote in New Windsor, New York.
