Vention is hiring a Middle Data Engineer in Tashkent to design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and platforms supporting client business and analytical needs. The core stack is Python, SQL, Apache Airflow, Spark/PySpark, Snowflake, Kafka, and modern data lake formats like S3, Iceberg, and Parquet.
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable and reliable data solutions that support business and analytical needs
- Build and enhance data pipelines, ensuring efficient data collection, transformation, and delivery across multiple platforms and systems
- Manage large-scale datasets, maintaining high standards of data quality, consistency, and availability
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and deliver effective data solutions
- Optimize data processing workflows and contribute to improving platform performance, reliability, and scalability
- Support data platform modernization and continuous improvement initiatives
- Implement testing and validation practices to ensure the accuracy and reliability of data products
- Leverage AI-powered development tools and stay current with emerging technologies and engineering best practices to improve productivity, accelerate delivery, and drive innovation
- 3+ years of experience in Data Engineering, delivering end-to-end data solutions
- Strong Python and SQL skills, including complex query development, data transformation, and performance optimization
- Hands-on experience building and maintaining data pipelines using Apache Airflow and working with large-scale datasets
- Experience with distributed data processing using Apache Spark and PySpark
- Solid understanding of data modeling and data warehousing concepts, with practical experience in Snowflake
- Experience working with streaming and event-driven data platforms, such as Apache Kafka
- Familiarity with modern data lake architectures and formats, including AWS S3, Iceberg, and Parquet
- Experience defining testing strategies, debugging issues, and ensuring the reliability and quality of data solutions
- English B2+, comfortable communicating with English-speaking customers
Nice to Have:
- Participation in Snowflake migration and modernization initiatives, including performance and cost optimization
- Exposure to Apache Airflow upgrades, migrations, or platform transformation projects
- Familiarity with AI-assisted development practices and tools
