A pre-sales Microsoft Cloud Architect role at a Big Four consultancy in Bucharest, blending enterprise architecture with client advisory and business development. The person leads discovery workshops, designs Azure (including AI and data platform) solution architectures, and supports RFPs, demos, and proposals.
We're recruiting a Microsoft Cloud Architect - Pre-Sales for a leading multinational consultancy in Bucharest. You'll work at the intersection of enterprise architecture, client advisory and business development, turning cloud and AI opportunities into secure, commercially credible Microsoft Azure solutions.
Lead discovery workshops and technical assessments with executives and technology stakeholders.
Translate business requirements into Azure architectures, solution blueprints, migration/modernization roadmaps and implementation approaches.
Design secure, scalable and cost-effective cloud solutions incorporating AI, advanced analytics and modern data platforms.
Present technical recommendations and demonstrations, support RFPs and proof-of-concept activities, and help shape winning proposals.
Create business cases, ROI/TCO assessments and measurable delivery outcomes.
Advise on cloud governance, security, hybrid environments, integration and operational readiness.
Contribute reusable architecture assets and mentor less-experienced architects.
8+ years in cloud architecture, enterprise technology, digital transformation or consulting.
5+ years of hands-on Microsoft Azure experience across complex client projects.
Required: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305) certification.
Deep knowledge of Azure infrastructure, networking, identity, security, governance, migration and cost optimization.
Experience with cloud-native architecture, DevOps, infrastructure as code and hybrid-cloud integration.
Practical familiarity with Azure AI Services, Azure Machine Learning, Azure OpenAI, Azure Synapse, data engineering or analytics.
Proven confidence in executive presentations, complex pre-sales discussions and translating architecture choices into business value.
Fluent English.
Nice to have: additional Azure AI, data or security certifications.
A balance of business-facing advisory/pre-sales work and substantial cloud architecture expertise. This is not a purely hands-on engineering position.
