Product Manager owning a core product area (analytics, agent platform, or vertical solutions) for an AI-powered marketing platform serving Fortune 500 companies. Responsibilities include driving strategy, shaping product, and delivering outcomes through cross-functional collaboration. Uses SQL, prototyping, and customer discovery to accelerate execution.
Profound is the fastest-growing AI marketing platform, used by 15% of the Fortune 500 including Comcast, Estée Lauder, and Walmart, and innovators like Ramp, MongoDB, and Figma. It is where marketing teams do the work: research, briefs, content, campaigns, reporting, all in one place, alongside agents that carry the load with them.
Built on 2B+ real user prompts and growing, Profound’s data shows you what people ask AI and what the models say back. Profound's AI Marketer joins that data with deep context about our customers to find the opportunities worth acting on, and then puts agents to work: automating reporting, drafting content, auditing pages for readability, running competitive research. It measures what works and gets better every day.
Product managers here are true product owners, responsible for discovery, execution, and delivery end to end. This is a chance to build at the frontier of AI and marketing and make an impact that bends the trajectory of the company.
We're hiring across several product areas: analytics tools that help marketing teams understand their brand's performance on answer engines, an agent platform where marketers build and orchestrate agents to execute strategies and automate operations, and vertical solutions built for new use cases and strategic customer segments. As a Product Manager on the Core Product team, you'll own one of these areas end to end: driving strategy, shaping the product, and delivering outcomes that matter to customers and the business.
Craft the strategy and drive execution for one of Profound's core product areas: Answer Engine Insights, Agent Analytics, and Prompt Volumes; the agent platform including background agents, the agent builder, and projects; or vertical solutions across Shopping, Ads, self-serve, and agency workflows
Define how customers measure, understand, and improve their brand's performance across AI-powered answer engines: from prompt monitoring and competitive benchmarking to agent-driven automation and vertical-specific workflows
Expedite execution across engineering, design, data, and marketing by creating clarity, making decisions, and managing scope
Optimize the team for velocity and quality shots on goal
Be in front of customers every day to do discovery, get feedback, and sell
Partner with Sales, Marketing, and Engagement teams so that we tell compelling stories to prospects and customers
5 or more years of experience building excellent software products, ideally in a startup or fast-moving company
Domain expertise in one or more of: AI agent systems, LLMs, or prompt engineering; marketing analytics, data products, or BI tools; or ads, ecommerce, retail, agency workflows, or self-serve B2B SaaS
Ability to lead cross-functional teams through ambiguity, create clarity, and push teams to ship product and drive impact
Strong product fundamentals with a spike in one or more of data, AI/ML systems, development, design, or enterprise go-to-market
Willing to roll up your sleeves to help the team execute, whether that means creating prototypes, writing SQL, evaluating model outputs, building dashboards, creating content, or responding to support tickets
You play on offense, creating and running toward opportunities and injecting energy into teams
Experience as a founder, working at an early-stage startup, or launching zero-to-one products is a plus
This is an on-site role based in our Union Square, NYC office, designed for builders who thrive on speed, iteration, and meaningful impact.
For this role, the expected base salary range is $200,000 to $300,000. Profound's total compensation package is designed to be competitive and includes base salary, equity, and a full range of benefits and perks. Final compensation will depend on factors such as your skills, experience, qualifications, and location, and will be determined during the interview process. Our recruiting team will share more details about the full compensation package and benefits as you move through hiring.
