Position Summary:
Owns the member journey and every direct-to-member marketing touchpoint — email, text, direct mail, and app push — with a single mandate: keep members engaged and renewing. This role is retention-first, not acquisition-first; the job is to deepen the relationship with members AAA Hoosier already has, using the right message at the right moment across the lifecycle from onboarding through renewal.
The ideal candidate is a data-driven marketer who thinks in terms of the full member relationship, not just individual campaigns. They are comfortable owning marketing automation tools end-to-end, translating segmentation data into the right message at the right moment, and continuously testing to improve retention and renewal outcomes. They bring strong writing skills, attention to detail, and a genuine interest in what keeps members engaged over time.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Owns end-to-end member journey mapping across all channels, with accountability for the share of members with an active engagement touchpoint.
- Plans and executes retention and renewal campaigns across email, text, direct mail, and app push — including renewal mailings via CompuMail: Renewal — with accountability for renewal rate and online join/renew conversion.
- Writes and manages member-facing lifecycle content and copy.
- Applies right-time, right-message principles using Membership's segmentation to reduce churn and lift renewal.
- Administers Salesforce Marketing Cloud, SMS-Avagate, Logiforms with Avagate, and Dialpad as the tools that execute the strategy.
- Builds and maintains automated lifecycle campaign workflows, including onboarding sequences, renewal reminders, and win-back campaigns triggered by member behavior and milestones.
- Analyzes campaign performance data, including open rates, click-through, conversion, and renewal lift, to continuously test and optimize messaging, timing, and channel mix by tracking email open/click-through rates and text response performance.
- Manages the member communication calendar to ensure consistent, non-duplicative outreach across marketing, membership, and other departments.
- Partners cross-functionally with Membership and Digital Experience teams to align lifecycle messaging with product changes and organizational priorities.
- Maintains member communication database health and compliance, ensuring outreach aligns with opt-in/opt-out preferences and regulatory requirements.
Experience/and or Required Qualifications:
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing or Information Systems.
- 5–7 years administering Salesforce Marketing Cloud or a comparable marketing automation platform.
Preferred
- Salesforce Marketing Cloud certification.
