Medior Full Stack / Back End Developer

Have you had enough of large firms that assign you to client projects? At Reconcept, you can truly make an impact in a team that is transforming the face of the medical field in the Netherlands. Contribute to the growth of doctors across the country - and grow along with them yourself.

About Reconcept

• At Reconcept, we've built a cutting-edge SaaS platform for medical education. We support a revolutionary way of learning where clinical experiences are directly transformed into learning outcomes.
• By helping healthcare institutions train staff faster and more effectively, we are tackling a global crisis: the growing shortage of healthcare professionals.
• With nearly all Dutch hospitals already on board, we are now rapidly expanding internationally. We currently serve over 100 organizations and 50,000+ users-and we're just getting started.

The Role

The online platform Reconcept Portfolio has more than 50,000 users across over 100 healthcare organizations in the Netherlands. More than 70% of all medical specialists in the Netherlands are trained using our platform. We are currently expanding internationally.

As a Full Stack / Back End Developer, you play an important role in the development of the entire application. Security, usability, and innovation are crucial for our target audience and therefore top priorities.

The backend forms the foundation for multiple web and mobile applications and is built in Ruby on Rails. We use OAuth2 for single sign-on and GraphQL to expose the API to the frontend. The frontend consists of an Angular web application and a mobile app. Our workflows are well-structured with clear goals, yet non-bureaucratic - allowing us to move fast and get things done.

In the coming period, the focus will be on further developing the existing platform. Several challenging projects are on the roadmap, including AI integrations such as Speech-to-Text. You will collaborate closely with your frontend and backend colleagues to deliver the best solutions for our users and contribute to technical refinement.

The Challenges

As a team, we work toward clear goals. Every growth phase brings new challenges that you are encouraged to think about-proactively and collaboratively. For example:

• How can we make the daily work of students and educators easier and learning moments more valuable?
• How can we give our project managers more configuration options so developers are not required for every change?
• How can we continuously develop new features while keeping the application stable (CI/CD)?
• Which weaknesses and ambiguities in the platform can we improve?
• How can we enable AI integrations with other systems while safeguarding privacy and information security?
