The Role

Tired of the "van life" and chasing jobs across the city? We are looking for a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join the dedicated estates team at our prestigious university campus in Wimbledon.

You'll be the backbone of the campus infrastructure, maintaining the critical heating, ventilation, and plumbing systems that keep our students and faculty comfortable year-round. It's a stable, site-based role where you can truly get to know the systems you manage.

What's in it for you?

• The Golden Schedule: A consistent Monday to Friday routine. No more weekend "emergencies" ruining your plans.

• A Single Base: Say goodbye to London traffic. Your "office" is a beautiful, green campus in the heart of SW19.

• Team Culture: Work alongside a professional multi-disciplinary team in a respectful, academic environment.

• Perks: Competitive salary and the job security of a permanent position within the higher education sector.

Your Responsibilities

• Conduct planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on commercial HVAC, plant rooms, and plumbing systems.

• Diagnose and repair mechanical faults, from pumps and motors to heat exchangers and AHUs.

• Monitor and optimize the Building Management System (BMS) for maximum efficiency.

• Support small-scale mechanical installation projects and system upgrades.

• Ensure all works meet current health, safety, and environmental regulations.

What We're Looking For

• Qualified: NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC, or Plumbing & Heating.

• Technical Savvy: Strong knowledge of commercial boiler systems, pumps, and cooling towers.

• The Extra Mile: Experience with BMS (Building Management Systems) is highly desirable.

• Professionalism: You're comfortable working in a live campus environment and representing the estates team to staff and students.

Upgrade your career path.

If you're a mechanical specialist looking for a high-quality environment and a better way to work, we want to meet you.
