Meat Clerk

At Vince’s Market, we’ve been passionate about food since 1929. What started as a small produce business in Toronto has grown into a well-loved independent grocery chain with locations in Sharon, Newmarket, Uxbridge, and Tottenham. Even as we’ve grown, we’ve never lost what makes us special — fresh food, genuine customer service, and a team that truly cares.
We’re currently looking for a Full Time Meat Department Clerk to join our team at our Uxbridge location.
If you love food, enjoy working with people, and like staying busy, you’ll probably find that time flies in this role. There’s always something to learn and someone to help — whether that’s preparing fresh products, keeping displays looking beautiful, or helping a customer choose the perfect item for dinner.
This position offers approximately 30-44 hours per week, with a mix of days, evenings, and weekends. We’re looking for someone with full year-round availability, as we are hiring for a long-term role rather than seasonal work.
The expected hourly compensation for this position is $17.60 to $20.00 per hour, depending on experience and aligned with our standardized and transparent compensation scale. Team members may also become eligible for our benefits program after three months of employment.
One of the things we’re most proud of at Vince’s is our training and development. We provide thorough orientation and hands-on training in food safety, department standards, customer service, inventory control, and food knowledge. Whether you’ve worked in food before or simply love cooking at home, we’ll give you the tools and support to succeed.
Working at Vince’s is different from working at a large corporate grocery chain. As an independent business, our departments have the flexibility to make decisions, try new ideas, and respond to what our customers love. Your input matters here. We believe in open communication, personal growth, and promoting from within whenever possible.
We also believe work should feel good. Our teams are close-knit, supportive, and genuinely enjoy working together. From store BBQs and holiday celebrations to volunteer activities and team events, we value building community inside and outside our stores.
For transparency, Vince’s Market does not use artificial intelligence to screen, assess, or select applicants for this position.
If you are interviewed for this publicly advertised role, we will inform you whether a hiring decision has been made within 45 days of your interview (or within 45 days of your final interview if there is more than one), in accordance with current legislative requirements.
If you’re someone who loves food, enjoys connecting with people, and wants to be part of a team that feels more like family, we would love to hear from you.
