Marketing & Brand Designer (Contractor)

Who you'll work with:
You will mostly work alongside our Head of Marketing. Up until now, he has executed all design himself or has relied on disparate freelancers and agencies. This will be the first time the company brings on a long-term designer.

You will also occasionally work with the Head of Sales and Head of Customer Success to help produce sales enablement material and customer marketing material.

What you'll do

• Web design: design new pages and redesigns in Figma with proper layout, hierarchy, and responsive structure, built for clean web implementation
• Sales enablement material: deal rooms, sales decks, one-pagers, and other collateral that help our sales team win deals.
• Marketing email design: we want to launch a newsletter, but need help designing the emails themselves. The ability to create on-brand marketing emails within HubSpot (we don't care how these are designed, you can do so drag and drop, via HTML, AI, etc)
• Video editing and production: the ability to occasionally splice together screen recordings, recorded media, and other media into video. The ability to produce announcement videos for new product releases.
• Campaigns and storytelling: when we have a campaign theme, help us tell that story visually. We want your creative direction, not just finished assets
• Events: trade show and conference materials, including booth graphics and print collateral
• Implementation with AI: we build our site with AI tools, but we want a human to design first. You'll take your own Figma designs and use tools like Claude Code to help implement them on our site
• Figma cleanup: restructure our existing Figma workspace into a clear, organized system (components, styles, templates) that a team can easily use
• Visual identity: over time, help us refine, unify, and strengthen Mobly's brand identity across every touchpoint

As you get to know the business, you'll become our design expert and help shape how Mobly looks and feels everywhere!

Who you are

• You're looking for a stable, long-term client relationship, not one-off projects
• You have a portfolio that includes B2B SaaS work
• You're highly skilled in Figma (auto layout, components, design systems) and you design with development in mind
• You take initiative to understand the product, the market, and competitive trends without being asked
• You think like a creative partner and are comfortable proposing ideas and pushing back when something could be better
• You're AI-native: you've been experimenting with AI in your design workflow and are excited to use tools like Claude Code to bring designs to life
• You communicate clearly and confidently in English, both async and live

Requirements:

• 5+ years of marketing design experience, ideally in B2B SaaS
• Deep expertise in Figma and understanding of building design systems
• Part-time, around 15–20 hours per week
• You'll be responsive in our Slack during core working hours (9am - 2pm MST) and join a weekly sync with the Head of Marketing. (We will always try and provide sufficient lead time for deliverables, but sometimes things come up fast.)
• Genuine excitement to produce fun and creative work
• Okay with a contractor role on a monthly retainer

• Flexible work - we are looking for someone who can contribute 15-20 hours/week. Work can be done whenever works for your schedule, but we'd love responsiveness during core hours (9am - 2pm MST)
• Fully remote - work from wherever works for you!
• Flexible PTO - Since this is a contractor role, you are free to take time as needed so long as communicated clearly
• Competitive Compensation - monthly retainer range of $1,750 - $3,000, depending on experience
