About the role

In today’s hyper-competitive travel industry, Loyalty is no longer just a program, it is the engine that drives customer engagement, retention, and revenue growth. From shaping personalized experiences to unlocking new commercial opportunities, it blends innovation, engineering excellence, and customer‑centric thinking to create real business value. It is where strategy meets execution, where every line of code can directly influence customer satisfaction and airline success. Working in this space means operating at the crossroads of technology, business, and customer experience, where your leadership not only delivers solutions but helps shape the future of how airlines connect with their customers. Within a Competency Center model, you will lead a dedicated team serving a specific airline customer. You will act as a key partner to the customer, ensuring high‑quality delivery in alignment with Amadeus security policies and governance standards, while contributing to the alignment between customer priorities, roadmap, and technical solutions. You will also develop a strong understanding of the customer’s business context and transformation journey to effectively guide your team and drive impactful outcomes.

Define team objectives and align them with organizational goals, providing support and guidance to team members. Evaluate team and individual performance, contributing to salary reviews and identifying high‑potential team members for further development. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and growth within your team.

Technical Excellence Identify and clarify ambiguous requirements, assess resource and operational challenges, and support risk analysis for projects. Contribute to the development of a component strategy, oversee its deployment and evolution, and collaborate with architects and experts to ensure code integrity and architecture. Champion a quality‑focused mindset across the development cycle and take ownership of CI/CD activities. Develop tooling and monitoring capabilities and create transversal modules/libraries for functional development teams. Actively participate in RFPs and assess migration gaps for legacy system customers.

Problem Solving Proactively monitor and identify recurring problems, proposing long‑term solutions. Conduct in‑depth analyses of unclear requests and impacts, ensuring requests are clarified before proceeding with design and sizing. Recommend alternatives, improvements, and new techniques in processes and operational models.

Innovation Foster a collaborative work environment that promotes innovation and empowers team members. Encourage and evaluate ideas from team members, driving continuous improvements in product and development stability, availability, and reliability.

Change Management Embrace different points of view, challenge and grow ideas, and provide/accept constructive feedback from employees, peers, and management. Guide the team through changing priorities and new practices, involving team members in decision‑making whenever possible.

Internal Policies and Procedures Ensure proper execution of internal processes and procedures. Demonstrate a strong sense of responsibility for company assets, proactively addressing security vulnerabilities and breaches. Support management by preparing materials and reports related to the functional area and cascading management decisions within various organizations.
