Steel Dynamics

Overview

Steel Dynamics (SDI) is a leading industrial metals solutions company, with facilities located throughout the United States, and in Mexico. The company operates using a circular manufacturing model, producing lower-carbon-emission, quality products with recycled scrap as the primary input. Steel Dynamics is one of the largest domestic steel producers and metal recyclers in North America, combined with a meaningful downstream steel fabrication platform. The company has also recently added aluminum operations, further diversifying its product offerings to supply aluminum flat rolled products with higher recycled content to the countercyclical sustainable beverage can industry, in addition to the automotive and industrial sectors. Steel Dynamics is committed to operating with the highest integrity and to being the safest, most efficient producer of high-quality, broadly diversified, value-added metal products.

Our steel operations produce steel products, including hot roll, cold roll, and coated sheet steel, structural steel beams and shapes, rail, engineered special-bar-quality steel, cold finished steel, merchant bar products, and specialty steel sections. Our metals recycling operations collect and process ferrous and nonferrous scrap from manufacturing and end-of-life items, such as automobiles, appliances, and machinery. This processed scrap is then sold to end-users for reuse, including our electric arc furnace (EAF) steel mills, which produce new steel from the scrapped material. We sell a meaningful amount of steel to our own steel fabrication operations that in turn produce and sell structural steel joist and deck building systems to consumers.

Steel Dynamics has been recognized by Fortune magazine as one of the World's Most Admired Companies on numerous occasions, most recently in 2025. This recognition reflects the exceptional character, commitment, and determination of our teams across the organization. It is the passion, innovation, and dedication of our employees—to one another and to a culture of excellence—that drive SDI to consistently achieve the highest standards of operational and financial performance.

This is an exceptional opportunity to join SDI in a highly visible cross-functional role for external and internal financial reporting, as well as operational initiatives.
