We are looking for an experienced Mainframe DB2 Specialist with 10 to 20 years of Mainframe experience. The technical focus is on DB2 for z/OS system administration and DBA activities, performance tuning, backup and recovery, DB2 utilities, and migration from CA DB2 tooling to IBM DB2 Utilities Suite for z/OS.
Working environment
You will work in an international, English-speaking Mainframe environment, collaborating with application teams, z/OS engineers and infrastructure specialists.

What will you do - Install, configure and maintain DB2 subsystems on z/OS. - Perform DB2 upgrades, migrations and subsystem configurations. - Manage DB2 objects including databases, tablespaces, tables and indexes. - Monitor DB2 performance and optimise SQL queries and access paths. - Perform performance tuning using DB2 tools and utilities. - Execute DB2 utilities including REORG, RUNSTATS, LOAD, COPY and RECOVER. - Design and maintain backup and recovery processes and ensure database integrity and availability. - Provide L2/L3 technical support, perform root cause analysis and implement long-term fixes. - Implement DB2 changes through CAB processes and support deployments, releases and database migrations. - Manage DB2 security and access controls and support audit and compliance requirements. - Monitor DB2 storage, buffer pools and resource utilisation and support capacity planning. - Collaborate with application teams, z/OS engineers and infrastructure teams. - Support migrations from CA DB2 tools/software to IBM DB2...
