About Your Company

King Deux is working with a premier entertainment and lifestyle enterprise in Macau, backed by a leading global private equity firm. Operating across high-impact cinema experiences, licensed IP merchandising, and immersive pop-up concepts, we bridge entertainment and retail to deliver unique guest experiences. We are seeking an agile and results-driven Retail Operations Manager to lead our dynamic retail footprint.

About your role

1. Operational & Pop-Up Execution

• Lead end-to-end retail operations across fixed venues (cinema retail/merchandise hubs) and short-term pop-up installations.

• Manage pop-up store life cycles, including visual merchandising setup, inventory staging, staff deployment, and rapid breakdown/turnover.

• Establish and continuously improve Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for inventory control, shrinkage reduction, and point-of-sale efficiency.

2. IP Licensing & Merchandising

• Work directly with internal teams and external licensors to ensure strict compliance with IP brand guidelines, display layouts, and promotional standards.

• Monitor consumer purchasing trends for licensed products and collaborate with merchandising teams to optimize stock levels and product mix.

3. Team & Stakeholder Management

• Recruit, schedule, and train a high-performing team of retail supervisors, cashiers, and pop-up event staff.

• Liaise with property management, mall operators, cinema venue teams, and external vendors to ensure flawless daily store operations.

• Maintain tight controls on labor costs and operational expenditure to align with private equity performance targets.

What you will need to succeed

• Residency: Must be a Macau Permanent Resident (Macau Bir ID holder).

• Experience:

  • 5–8 years of total experience in retail management, with a minimum of 2+ years leading retail operations in pop-up stores, IP/licensed merchandise, theme parks, or cinema retail.

• Skills & Competencies:

  • Proven track record in rapid setup and management of short-term pop-up operations.

  • Sound working knowledge of Macau Labor Law and retail operational compliance.

  • High financial literacy—comfortable with inventory management tools, POS analytics, and unit-level P&L tracking.

  • Strong leadership, project management, and problem-solving skills in high-footfall environments.

• Languages: Fluent in Cantonese and English; proficiency in Mandarin is highly preferred.
