Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Backend Developer to support the modernisation of legacy batch processing systems.
The role involves analysing and rewriting approximately 49 legacy batch scripts into a modern backend framework while ensuring functional accuracy, reliability, and integration with existing applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse and reverse-engineer legacy batch scripts and processing logic.
- Rewrite legacy batch jobs into a modern backend framework.
- Modernise batch processing across CGS, Communications, Reports, and Processing modules.
- Identify and resolve dependencies between legacy and modernised systems.
- Ensure rewritten batch jobs maintain functional equivalence with existing processes.
- Develop and execute unit tests and regression tests.
- Support integration of modernised batch jobs with the application.
- Troubleshoot and resolve batch processing issues.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience in backend software development.
- Experience with batch processing frameworks and scheduled job systems.
- Strong ability to analyse and reverse-engineer legacy scripts.
- Proficiency in Java, C#, or equivalent backend programming languages.
- Experience developing and maintaining backend processing applications.
- Knowledge of unit testing and regression testing for batch workloads.
