Mentimeter is an engagement tool with a clear goal in mind. To make every leader better. Through real-time interactivity and clear visualizations, we get people to participate, engage and become more productive. Transforming all those passive meetings, airless classrooms and drawn out trainings into valuable insights and impactful moments.
We truly believe that you achieve the best results by doing things together. And that successful leaders need to adopt a curious and collaborative mindset in order to get there. So with you at Mentimeter, you’ll be a big part of the ambition to help over 1 billion people listen, learn and work better together.
As Mentimeter expands into more markets, we want our product experience to feel just as clear, natural and distinctly Mentimeter in every language we support.
We're looking for a Localization Operations Specialist to own the systems, workflows and operational foundations that make this possible at scale.
About the team
You'll join Experience Foundations, the area helping Mentimeter scale coherent, high-quality product experiences through specialist expertise, standards and reusable foundations.
Today, localization is managed by our Content Design team alongside their core craft. As our international ambitions grow, we need dedicated localization expertise and deeper ownership of the systems behind it.
This role owns how localization works: the platform, pipeline, workflows and quality standards that take content from English source to a high-quality localized experience.
You'll work closely with Content Design, Engineering, Web, Lifecycle Marketing, GTM and our external language partners.
What you'll do
- Own our localization platform, Phrase, and our pipeline, configuring workflows and integrations, troubleshooting issues and keeping it healthy
- Build our localization operating model, including workflows, governance, quality gates and approval paths
- Shape the next version of our localization infrastructure with Engineering, starting from what the business needs and designing the workflow around it, covering extraction, sync, integrations and CI/CD
- Raise localization quality through terminology standards, review gates and feedback loops across languages
- Run new language rollouts, owning the operational setup and providing data on cost, quality and complexity
- Manage localization spend and partners, maintaining budget visibility and strong day-to-day vendor relationships
- Be the localization point of contact across Content Design, Engineering, Web, Lifecycle Marketing and GTM
- Build scalable ways of working, so localization standards live in the system rather than with individuals
Who you are
- You have hands-on experience owning localization as a core part of your role
- You've built or significantly improved localization workflows, governance and quality gates
- You're proficient in Phrase, and can configure workflows and integrations and debug a pipeline
- You design workflows from requirements, rather than fitting the process around a tool
- You're technically fluent and comfortable partnering with engineers on integrations, extraction, synchronization and CI/CD workflows
- You take a service-minded and collaborative approach, helping teams navigate localization processes clearly and efficiently, even when managing multiple priorities
- You understand localization quality at scale and know when technically correct translation still doesn't work for the market
- You've supported new language or market launches and understand the operational and cost considerations behind them
- You're comfortable managing language partners and quality standards
- You work well across teams and can establish standards without direct authority
- You think in systems and build processes that scale beyond individual knowledge
- Fluent in written and spoken English (Swedish is not required)
- Proficiency in German, Spanish, Portuguese or French a bonus
What success looks like
Localization at Mentimeter becomes reliable, visible and scalable.
Our pipeline is monitored and surfaces failures. Work passes the right quality gates before reaching language partners. Teams know how to use the localization service without chasing people for answers, and we have clear visibility into spend across languages.
New languages can move from decision to launch faster, giving Mentimeter a stronger foundation for international expansion.
Location & work arrangement
This role is based at our Stockholm headquarters, with a hybrid arrangement of 3 days/week on-site.
We offer
- Competitive compensation, including pension contributions
- Leadership and professional development programs, plus access to external coaching
- A budget and culture that supports continuous learning
- Genuine flexibility and a healthy approach to work-life balance
- A diverse, international team of 50+ nationalities

At Mentimeter, we believe AI helps us work smarter - but it never replaces the human assessment, curiosity, and personal connection that define our culture and our hiring. We use AI as a sparring partner: to bounce ideas, bring new perspectives, support structure, and make our work more efficient. But the meaning, decisions, and interactions always come from people.
- AI does not screen or decide on candidates.
- There is no automated filtering, ranking, or decision-making in our recruitment process. Every application is reviewed by a person.
- Hiring teams may use AI to support their work - for example, to structure notes, prepare interview questions, or organize their thinking.

In order to give everyone a voice, we need to be as diverse as our users.
