Introduction & Summary:
The Linux System Administrator is responsible for ensuring the availability, performance, and security of Linux servers that meet business operational requirements. This role requires extensive experience in Linux systems administration, solid understanding of infrastructure services, and a commitment to upholding security policies and compliance standards.
Main Responsibilities:
The Linux System Administrator will manage and support the Linux server environment while adhering to best practices.
- Ensure that Linux servers are available, performant, and secure.
- Manage modifications to the Linux servers via an automation platform.
- Apply security policies and compliance rules across Linux servers.
- Configure, upgrade, and troubleshoot Linux servers in various environments.
- Collaborate with other teams to implement business requirements and connectivity flows.
Key Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in Linux systems administration.
- Experience with Linux clustering.
- Experience with automation.
- Experience with VMware.
- Experience with Storage Servers.
- Knowledge of infrastructure services and networking topologies.
- Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in English (written and oral).
- Ability to learn and apply new concepts quickly.
- Team player.
