Linux Platform Engineer

At Acturis, innovation isn’t just part of our culture — it’s in our DNA.
Our journey began in 2000 in the garden shed of our co‑founder, Theo Duchen, who—together with fellow former McKinsey partner David McDonald—set out to reinvent insurance technology. From those start‑up beginnings, Acturis has grown into a global SaaS leader transforming the insurance industry.

Today, over 100,000 users in 40+ countries rely on our platform to run and grow their businesses. By partnering closely with brokers, insurers, and MGAs, we continue to shape modern insurance across both personal and commercial lines.

Recognised as a Great Place to Work® 2026 Acturis combines the agility and innovation of a start‑up with the scale and stability of an industry leader. You’ll join a team where expertise is valued, ideas move fast, and talented people make a real impact from day one. And as an EcoVadis Committed‑rated organisation, we focus on creating long‑term value by operating in a sustainable and responsible way.

Day to day you will:

• Design, build, and operate production-ready Linux platform services, enabling self-service automation and simplifying OpenShift cluster management.

• Deliver and maintain resilient OpenShift platforms through infrastructure-as-code, automation, observability, and production-critical capabilities including high availability and disaster recovery.

• Partner with engineering and SRE teams to improve platform adoption, define operational best practices, and continuously modernise the platform through automation and new technologies.

We offer structured development, clear progression, and genuine ownership — whether that means leading projects, shaping strategy, or mentoring others. You’ll work in a collaborative environment where strong performers progress quickly.

You can expect:

• A transparent progression structure, regular feedback, and annual performance reviews.

• Opportunities to lead cross-functional projects, influence technical direction, and contribute to the evolution of our platform engineering capabilities.

• Comprehensive onboarding, ongoing professional development, and exposure to modern cloud-native technologies including OpenShift, automation tooling, and infrastructure-as-code.

You’ll thrive here if you:

• Have strong Linux systems administration experience combined with an automation-first mindset and scripting skills in tools such as Bash, Python, or PowerShell.

• Have exposure to containers, Kubernetes/OpenShift, and core infrastructure technologies, with an understanding of reliability, monitoring, and recovery in production environments.

• Are a proactive problem solver who enjoys troubleshooting complex systems and working autonomously in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
