Linux Engineer / DevOps

You know the command line is still the most powerful UI ever built. And that behind every flashy tool is a well-behaved process.

Maybe you've installed more distros than you can count. Maybe you have strong opinions about init systems. Maybe you're the person everyone calls when production goes down at 2am—because you actually understand what's happening under the hood.

At PromptPartner, we build AI automation systems that run 24/7 for European businesses. These systems need infrastructure that's rock-solid, secure, and maintainable. We need someone who can build it right—and keep it running.

What You'll Do

• Build and maintain infrastructure for our automation systems
• Set up and manage servers, containers, and deployment pipelines
• Ensure security and compliance — especially GDPR and Swiss data requirements
• Monitor and optimize system performance
• Automate everything — because the best shell script is the one that writes itself
• Document systems so others can understand and maintain them
• OS: Linux (Ubuntu, Rocky, Alma, Debian, Redhat Enterprise)
• Cloud: AWS, GCP, or European alternatives (Hetzner, OVH)
• CI/CD: GitHub Actions, GitLab CI
• Monitoring: Prometheus, Grafana, logging stacks
• Security: Firewalls, VPNs, SSL/TLS, secrets management

You're Right for This If...

• You live and breathe Linux—it's not just a job, it's how you think
• You can debug production issues by reading logs and understanding systems
• You've set up infrastructure from scratch, not just clicked buttons in a console
• You understand networking, security, and what happens when things break
• You automate repetitive tasks without being asked
• You document your work because you know future-you will thank you

This Isn't for You If...

• You only know cloud consoles, not command lines
• You can't explain how DNS, TCP/IP, or SSL actually work
• You need everything containerized before you can do anything
• You've never managed a server that real users depend on
• You think security is someone else's job
