Life Safety Systems Officer

We are looking for a Life Safety Systems Officer to carry out planned inspections and safety checks across multiple sites throughout the North West, ensuring fire safety systems and life safety equipment are compliant and working correctly.

You will identify faults, defects and compliance issues, complete inspection reports, and arrange remedial works to help maintain a safe environment for residents and building occupants.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out scheduled fire safety inspections across multiple sites.

• Inspect communal and flat entrance fire doors, checking condition, seals, closers and compliance.

• Test fire alarms, smoke detectors, emergency lighting, AOV systems and warden call systems.

• Identify and report defects, raising remedial works where required.

• Maintain accurate inspection records and asset information.

• Liaise with clients and internal teams to resolve issues.

• Follow relevant legislation, British Standards and company Health & Safety procedures.

About You

• Experience in fire safety, building compliance, facilities management or maintenance.

• Good understanding of fire safety systems and life safety equipment.

• Strong attention to detail and accurate reporting skills.

• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.

• Full UK driving licence.

• Professional, organised and proactive approach.
