This newly created role will strengthen the local legal presence supporting SoftwareOne’s business in Dubai and across the Middle East. You will work with colleagues in the region while remaining connected to a wider international Legal team, sharing knowledge and contributing to matters that extend beyond individual countries.
As Legal Counsel for UAE & Middle East, you will take responsibility for day-to-day legal matters within SoftwareOne’s Dubai subsidiary and support other entities in the region. You will advise business stakeholders, negotiate commercial and technology-related contracts, and coordinate with Group Legal, Data Protection, Compliance and external legal advisers.
Key responsibilities
- Take responsibility for legal matters concerning SoftwareOne’s Dubai subsidiary and support other subsidiaries across the region.
- Draft, review and negotiate customer, supplier and partner contracts, including software licensing, IT services, managed services, framework and public-sector agreements.
- Provide practical legal support to Sales, Finance, Procurement, People & Culture and other business stakeholders.
- Support regional projects, legal documentation and contract-management activities in an international environment.
- Coordinate relationships with external lawyers and consultants when local or specialist advice is required.
- Support data-protection matters, including reviewing data-processing agreements and collaborating with Group Data Protection and Compliance teams.
