What You'll Do
- Document Preparation: Draft and review judgment motions, proposed orders, and supporting legal documentation.
- System Management: Keep case updates, filing information, and hearing outcomes accurate and current within our case management systems.
- Timeline Tracking: Monitor active portfolios to ensure strict court requirements, deadlines, and client expectations are consistently met.
- Stakeholder Communication: Maintain open, responsive communication with clients and internal team members regarding case progress and inquiries.
- Proactive Problem Solving: Identify potential roadblocks early and escalate issues that could disrupt file progression.
- High-Volume Execution: Maintain high standards of productivity and quality while balancing a robust caseload.
- Compliance Oversight: Ensure complete adherence to governing laws, local court rules, client directives, and firm policies.
What We're Looking For
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; a paralegal certification or Associate Degree is preferred.
- Experience: 2+ years of hands-on experience in foreclosure, bankruptcy, creditor rights, or a related legal specialty.
- Organization & Detail: Exceptional attention to detail paired with top-tier organizational habits.
- Time Management: The ability to seamlessly juggle multiple priorities and execute under tight deadlines.
- Communication: Polished written and verbal communication skills.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and legal case management platforms.
Physical Requirements
- Primarily sedentary role involving extended periods of sitting and computer work.
- Capacity to carefully review and analyze electronic and printed documents.
- Ability to communicate effectively via telephone, video conferencing, and in-person interactions.
- Manual dexterity to operate standard office equipment, including computers, phones, scanners, and copers.
- Ability to navigate an office environment and occasionally lift up to 20 pounds.
