Aurec Group is hiring a Lead Technical Business Analyst in Canberra to run discovery workshops, elicit and manage requirements, and map identity/JML processes for a Commonwealth Government identity program. Core tech includes IAM, Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), and Commonwealth cyber security/privacy frameworks.
Australian Citizens with a Baseline clearance and above will be regarded for this role
Your Responsibilities Include:
Plan, facilitate, and document discovery workshops and interviews across business, technical, security, architecture, and operational teams.
Elicit, analyse, document, and manage functional, non-functional, security, privacy, and operational requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
Map current-state and target-state processes for identity lifecycles, Joiner-Mover-Leaver (JML) workflows, access provisioning, and reconciliation.
Develop comprehensive process models, business rules, user stories, use cases, acceptance criteria, and requirements traceability matrices.
Support the development of Identity Data Contracts, application migration-readiness assessments, and dependency mapping.
Translate complex business needs into clear specifications for solution architects, engineers, testers, and cyber security specialists.
Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), business readiness, change communications, training, deployment, and transition to operational BAU arrangements.
To be successful in this position, you will ideally bring:
Technical Toolkit: Strong exposure to Identity and Access Management (IAM), Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), workforce identity data flows, automated JML processes, and Commonwealth cyber security/privacy frameworks.
Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience as a Technical Business Analyst within Australian Federal Government or complex enterprise environments.
Core Capabilities: Proven capability in workshop facilitation, process modelling, requirements management, UAT execution, and translating business strategy into technical deliverables. Relevant technical BA certifications are highly regarded.
