We’re looking for an experienced Lead Software Engineer to join an international Cloud Development Platform / DevSecOps team and help shape scalable cloud and AI capabilities.
This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll combine strong software engineering expertise with technical leadership, mentoring and cloud architecture.
Design, develop and operate scalable, high-quality cloud platform services.
Lead engineering standards, DevSecOps best practices and continuous improvement.
Drive technical decisions around AWS, microservices, cloud architecture and infrastructure.
Identify and manage technical debt, operational risks, scalability and performance.
Mentor engineers and contribute to the wider cloud engineering community.
Work closely with global stakeholders across engineering and technology teams.
8+ years of software engineering experience with strong ownership of cross-functional projects.
Strong hands-on experience with Java 17+, including concurrency, multithreading, reactive programming and JVM optimisation.
Excellent knowledge of Spring Boot, including Security, WebFlux, Data/MyBatis and Spring internals.
Strong experience designing and operating microservices on AWS, particularly:
ECS
DynamoDB
Aurora
SQS / SNS
EventBridge
Lambda
Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code, Terraform and CI/CD.
Solid understanding of REST APIs, OpenAPI, cloud security, resilience and operational excellence.
Experience with modern testing tools such as TestContainers, WireMock, RestAssured or LocalStack.
Strong communication, analytical and stakeholder-management skills.
Passion for mentoring, continuous learning and solving complex technical challenges.
Work on large-scale cloud and AI initiatives with global teams.
