Lead Product Designer

You will set the design vision and product strategy for payment products, prioritize a design roadmap, and lead designers and UX researchers. You will conduct research, prototype and specify interfaces, measure outcomes, run experiments, maintain design systems, and align designs with regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Define the design vision and product strategy for payment products
• Prioritize design and product improvements
• Establish UX/UI best practices and quality standards
• Lead, mentor, and develop product designers and UX researchers
• Translate research and data into feature proposals, PRDs, and specifications
• Define success metrics and report outcomes
• Run A/B tests and usability benchmarks
• Drive end-to-end design from discovery through UI specifications
• Conduct user research and usability testing
• Create and maintain design systems
• Partner with product, engineering, risk, compliance, legal, marketing, and CX stakeholders
• Explore emerging payment technologies and payment UX trends

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, or a related field
• 5+ years of product design or hybrid product design/product management experience
• At least 2 years of leadership or people-management experience
• Experience owning product roadmaps, prioritization, specification writing, success metrics, and post-launch measurement
• Experience designing scalable payment systems, e-wallets, or financial-services platforms
• Portfolio demonstrating UX strategy, UI execution, and measurable impact
• Knowledge of the Philippine digital-payment landscape and regulatory framework
• Experience with agile product development, backlog grooming, and sprint planning
• Proficiency with Figma, Adobe XD, or similar design tools
• Familiarity with Amplitude, Mixpanel, Google Analytics, or similar analytics tools
• Background in payments or fintech
• Experience designing for mass-market mobile-first audiences in emerging markets
