Requirements:

• Strong commercial Java development experience.
• Strong Spring / Spring Boot experience.
• Hands-on Kubernetes experience.
• Previous experience as a Lead Engineer, Technical Lead or Senior Engineer.
• Experience producing and working from Low-Level Designs.
• Experience leading technical delivery within Agile engineering teams.
• Strong understanding of modern software development and integration.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• React / React.js experience is desirable.
• Platform integration experience is desirable.
• Experience working on large-scale modernisation or transformation programmes is desirable.
• Experience within complex or highly regulated environments is desirable.

We are hiring for a Lead Java Engineer to join a large-scale modernisation programme focused on the design and delivery of critical digital services. This is a 6-month contract based in Telford with a hybrid working pattern of 2 days onsite per week. The rate is up to £645 inside IR35, and BPSS clearance is required. This is a hands-on technical leadership role where we take ownership of significant services within a major transformation programme, working closely with Architects, QA Leads and other technical stakeholders.
