Lead Full Stack Engineer

Salary: £70,000 - 70,000 per year

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Senior or Lead Full Stack Engineer
• Strong commercial experience with Golang (Go) — essential and a primary focus
• Experience with spec-driven or agentic development approaches
• Advanced frontend expertise with Vue.js and Nuxt.js
• Strong JavaScript (ES6+), HTML, and CSS skills
• Experience designing and building RESTful APIs and microservices
• Familiarity with gRPC for service-to-service communication
• Solid experience with SQL and/or NoSQL databases
• Proficiency with Git and modern development workflows
• Experience with containerisation and deployment tools
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively

Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and deploy scalable, high-quality applications across the full stack
• Architect and develop robust backend services using Golang (Go)
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices
• Contribute to modern, responsive frontend applications using Vue.js/Nuxt.js
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following best practices
• Work cross-functionally with product managers, designers, and engineers
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering standards
• Optimise applications for speed, scalability, and reliability
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks across systems
• Ensure systems are resilient under high traffic and large-scale usage
• Implement and maintain automated testing across the stack
• Debug and resolve complex technical issues
• Ensure high levels of system stability and user experience
• Stay current with emerging technologies and development approaches
• Contribute to evolving engineering processes, tooling, and practices
• Support adoption of AI-assisted and spec-driven development workflows
