Lead Data Engineer at a multi-strategy hedge fund, building and scaling cloud-first data platforms (Python, SQL, Snowflake, AWS, Airflow) that power research, analytics, and investment decision-making across the firm.
Our client, a fast-growing multi-strategy hedge fund, is looking for a Lead Data Engineer in London to help build and scale the data platforms that underpin research, analytics, applications, and investment decision-making across the firm. Working within a highly collaborative data engineering team, you'll partner directly with Quant Researchers, Portfolio Managers, Analysts, and technology teams to deliver cloud-first data solutions, shape technical standards, and play a key role in the evolution of a next-generation data platform. This is a hands-on leadership position offering significant influence over architecture, engineering direction, mentoring, and future team growth.
This is an opportunity to join one of the most ambitious investment platforms in the market, working on business-critical data infrastructure that directly impacts investment outcomes. You'll have significant ownership, exposure to senior stakeholders, and the chance to help shape the future of a rapidly expanding data engineering function.
