What you’ll do

Prepare great food

Work from our prep sheets and recipes to prepare fresh ingredients consistently and to a high standard.

Care about flavour

Pay attention to taste, freshness and presentation. If something doesn’t look or taste right, don’t let it slide.

Keep things safe

Follow food safety, hygiene and allergen procedures carefully and help keep the kitchen clean, organised and safe.

Know the kitchen

Learn our menu, ingredients, recipes and kitchen procedures so you understand how everything comes together.

Support stock and prep

Help the Kitchen Leader with stock checks, rotation, FIFO and making sure the kitchen is ready for the day ahead.

Get stuck in

When things get busy, jump in wherever you’re needed and help the team keep things moving.

You’ll probably love working in our kitchen if...

• You genuinely enjoy food and working with fresh ingredients

• You like being hands-on and keeping busy

• You care about getting the small details right

• You’re curious and enjoy learning new skills

• You take cleanliness and food safety seriously

• You’re reliable and take pride in doing a good job

• You naturally help the people around you

• You enjoy the buzz of a busy kitchen

If you’re looking for a kitchen role where you can switch off, ignore the details or leave the mess for someone else, this probably isn’t the one.

A little about experience

You don’t need to know everything when you join us, we’ll teach you how we do things at Sprout.

Some previous kitchen or hospitality experience is helpful, but what matters most is that you’re willing to learn, comfortable working at pace and genuinely care about good food.

If that sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you.
