Salary: Up to $95000 Plus Super
Junior Software DeveloperTullamarine | $85K–$95K + Super | Hybrid After 2 Months
Build software that doesn't just live on a screen.
If you're a junior developer who wants to work on
real technology, integrations and systems, rather than spending your career building another website or internal business application, this could be a very different kind of opportunity.
You'll join a growing technology business where software connects with
real-world systems, hardware, automation and technology environments.
And you don't need to know everything from day one. You'll be supported to build on your existing development skills and learn a highly specialised technology stack along the way.
Why you'll want this role - $85K–$95K + super
- Hybrid working after 2 months
- Free onsite parking in Tullamarine
- Build your career across software, integrations, automation and technology
- Learn specialist technologies that most junior developers won't get exposure to
- Work alongside experienced technical professionals
- Genuine opportunity to develop into a broader software and technology integration specialist
What you'll actually work on You'll be developing software that connects different technologies and systems, including:
- Building applications using Python, JavaScript and/or TypeScript
- Developing with Node.js
- Building REST APIs and third-party integrations
- Developing user interfaces with React or Svelte
- Working with SQL and databases
- Using Git and modern development practices
- Troubleshooting software and system integration issues
- Working with hardware and technology systems where software meets the physical world
- Collaborating with engineers and technical specialists to solve problems
This is a role where you'll be encouraged to
understand the whole system, not just write code in isolation.
What we're looking for We're not looking for someone who already knows everything.
We're looking for a developer with solid fundamentals who is
curious, technically minded and keen to learn.
You'll ideally bring:
- 1–3 years' commercial software development experience, or strong graduate-level/project experience
- Strong Python skills
- Strong JavaScript or TypeScript capability
- Exposure to Node.js
- Experience with REST APIs and integrations
- Experience with React or Svelte
- Understanding of HTML and CSS
- Git/version control experience
- Basic SQL and database knowledge
- Strong problem-solving skills
- A genuine interest in learning new technologies
The technology you can learn You don't need an AV background.
Experience with any of these is a bonus:
IoT | Automation | Embedded Systems | Hardware/Software Integration | Networking | Control Systems | AV | Q-SYS | Crestron | Lua | Dante
If you've come from
IoT, automation, robotics, embedded systems or another hands-on technology environment, we'd particularly like to hear from you.
The important thing is that you can code, think logically and
want to understand how technology works beyond the screen.
The opportunity This is a chance to develop a career at the intersection of
software development and technology integration.
You'll continue building your core software engineering skills while gaining exposure to systems, automation and specialist technologies that aren't typically part of a conventional junior developer role.
For the right person, there's plenty of room to
grow your technical capability and take on more complex projects as your experience develops.
