Junior Project Manager at SpiderRock's Chicago office, supporting the Project Management team with planning and delivery of client and development projects using Agile/Scrum. Coordinates developers, client support, infrastructure and DevOps teams, and manages stakeholder communications, reporting, and project artifacts.
The Junior Project Manager will help deliver SpiderRock’s ongoing projects and support the Project Management team with strategic program planning, project management, and project delivery in support of teams across the firm. This is a full-time salaried position in our Chicago office and reports to the Head of Project Management.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
· Gain competence and experience in areas of Project Management and utilizing Agile methodology and work with Scrum meetings.
· Engage in day-to-day project tasks, activities, schedules, risk, changes, and scope.
· Work with developers, client support, infrastructure and dev-ops teams and maintain all aspects of overseeing client bugs, client feature requests, integration projects and coordinating development projects.
· Assist Project Management Team to coordinate all communications and tasks with internal technical teams and executive stakeholders to lead the project delivery.
· Participate in regular status meetings with project team.
· Comfortable organizing and facilitating meetings with stakeholders at all levels of the firm, including agendas, action items, summaries, notes, and follow-ups
· Communicate quickly and clearly with all stakeholders and teammates.
· Prepare documents, metrics, reports, and other deliverables from the project team to the client.
· Maintain project artifacts and ensure they are executed, complete, current, and stored appropriately.
· Exhibit curiosity in rapid software development, new software tools, and the expansion of AI use.
· Awareness of confidentiality/data-handling expectations, showing discretion with sensitive information
WHAT SPIDERROCK IS LOOKING FOR
· 4-year college degree in Business, or related discipline or equivalent work experience.
· 1-3 years of experience delivering projects and project management preferred.
· Previous experience in the financial markets is preferred,but not required.
· Proficient in Microsoft products and digital technology.
· Knowledge of Atlassian tools and Agile approach are a huge plus.
· Self-motivated and able to motivate others.
· Exhibits professional and personal integrity.
· Interest in leading teams and/or managing complex IT projects
· Interest in the trading/financial industry greatly valued
· Performs well in a team-oriented atmosphere.
· Demonstrate productive time and resource management skills.
