Junior Product Designer

CALLING FOR: Junior Product Designer

You notice when a product feels right – and when something is just a little off.

A flow is confusing. There are too many steps. The hierarchy isn't clear. And you immediately want to make it better.

At ShippyPro, we're looking for a Junior Product Designer with strong UX/UI foundations, a great eye for product, and the curiosity to understand not only how something looks, but how people actually use it.

You'll work on a global SaaS platform used every day by eCommerce and logistics teams around the world, surrounded by experienced Product Designers and Product Managers who can accelerate your growth.

About Us

Our mission is simple: Make People Work Better.

ShippyPro helps thousands of companies across 60+ countries manage and automate their shipping operations.

Following our $15M Series B, we're continuing to evolve ShippyPro into a more intelligent platform – helping teams automate operations, understand what is happening, and make better decisions. Design sits right at the center of that shift: every workflow we simplify is something a real merchant touches every day.

The Product

ShippyPro is a shipping and fulfillment platform that helps merchants automate the entire shipping workflow, from choosing the best carrier service to generating labels and tracking deliveries. It connects with e-commerce platforms and multiple couriers, giving teams one place to ship faster, reduce manual work, and keep full control over costs and delivery performance.

The Challenge

We're not looking for someone who simply turns requirements into beautiful screens.

We want someone who asks:

• Who is using this?

• What are they trying to accomplish?

• Where are they getting stuck?

• How can we make this simpler?

• Did the solution actually work?

You'll contribute to real product problems from day one and progressively own more of the full design process – from discovery to design, launch and adoption.

Why ShippyPro

• You'll work on a complex global SaaS product used by thousands of businesses – not a portfolio project

• You'll be surrounded by experienced Product Designers and Product Managers who review your work and accelerate your growth

• You'll own increasingly important parts of the product as you grow, not just execute what's handed to you

• You'll talk directly with customers and see the real impact of what you ship

• You'll grow into design and AI-assisted prototyping at the same time – we're actively figuring out how these tools change the job, together

What You’ll Do

• Design user flows, wireframes, interfaces and prototypes

• Turn complex workflows into simple product experiences

• Work closely with Product Managers and Engineers

• Contribute to our Design System

• Talk directly with users and participate in research and usability testing

• Analyse qualitative feedback together with product usage data

• Monitor product metrics on a daily and weekly basis

• Understand and improve activation, adoption and engagement

• Identify friction in existing experiences and propose improvements

• Manage your work through tools such as Jira

• Review the experience before and after features go live

What You’ll Bring

• Around 2 years of experience in UX/UI Design, Product Design or similar

• Strong knowledge of UX and UI fundamentals

• A strong eye for product, including hierarchy, spacing, typography, interaction and simplicity

• Experience with Figma or similar product design tools

• Experience with concepts such as:

  • Components and reusable patterns

  • Responsive layouts

  • Prototyping

  • Design systems

  • Developer handoff

• Ability to move from: user flow → wireframe → prototype → final UI

• Basic knowledge of user research and usability testing

• Curiosity about user behavior and willingness to talk directly with customers

• Ability to receive feedback and iterate quickly

• Good written and spoken English

AI & Modern Product Tools

We increasingly expect Product Designers to go beyond traditional design tools – experience with any of the following is a strong plus:

• Lovable or similar vibe-coding / AI prototyping platforms

• AI-assisted prototyping tools

• Claude

• Using AI to explore product ideas, create prototypes or accelerate research

• Basic understanding of how to turn a design concept into a working interactive experience

You don't need to be a developer, but we're looking for someone curious about how AI is changing the way products are designed and built.

Nice to Have

• Experience with B2B SaaS

• Familiarity with tools such as Amplitude, Mixpanel, Hotjar or FullStory

• Basic understanding of activation, conversion and feature adoption

• Experience working with a Design System

• Experience collaborating directly with developers

• Knowledge of eCommerce or operational software

What You’ll Learn

This role is designed to accelerate your growth into a strong end-to-end Product Designer. You'll learn how to:

• Run structured user research

• Interview customers and understand the real problem behind their requests

• Design complete experiences from wireframe to final UI

• Prototype and validate ideas quickly

• Use qualitative feedback and product data together

• Measure product performance daily and weekly

• Understand and improve feature adoption

• Work with Product Managers and Engineers from discovery to launch

• Manage work and priorities through Jira

• Make product decisions based on users, data and business impact

Most importantly, you'll learn by doing.

You'll be surrounded by experienced Product Designers and Product people who will continuously review your work, challenge your thinking and help you grow faster.

What Makes You a ShippyProer

• You're curious and always ask why

• You care about simplicity

• You're comfortable sharing unfinished work and getting feedback

• You notice the details that make products feel great

• You use AI to explore ideas and move faster

• You take ownership beyond simply delivering a design

• You're ambitious about learning and improving quickly

• Meal vouchers (office or remote)

• Application review

• Intro call with our People & Culture Team + a short reasoning exercise (non-technical)

• Portfolio & Product Design interview

• Practical design challenge

• Final conversation with the Product team

We don't expect a Junior Product Designer to know everything. We're more interested in how you think, how quickly you learn, how you respond to feedback and how much you care about building great products.

Show us your work. But more importantly, show us the thinking behind it.

A Note Before You Apply

If you want to move on with the application, you'll have to answer a few questions. We love AI (it's part of almost everything we do!) so feel free to use it. But make sure your answers still sound like you. We're not looking for polished corporate responses – we're looking for builders.

Thanks for considering joining our team. We look forward to hearing from you! ✌️
