Junior PHP Developer Laravel (m/f/d) in Prishtina, Kosovo at EverHype Systems GmbH – Kosovë | Jobyssey

You don’t want to spend your first years as a developer fixing meaningless tasks without understanding the bigger picture.

You want to work on real software projects. You want to improve your Laravel skills, learn from experienced developers, and gradually take ownership of features that are actually used by customers.

If that sounds like you, keep reading.

We are a growing digital transformation and software development company working with clients across different industries. Our projects range from custom business applications and customer portals to process automation, integrations, and AI-powered solutions.

As a Junior PHP Developer, you will become part of our development team and work primarily with PHP and Laravel. You will start with clearly defined development tasks and gradually take on more responsibility as your skills grow.

We are not looking for someone who already knows everything.

We are looking for someone with a solid foundation, around one year of practical experience, and the motivation to become an excellent software developer.

Tasks

You will work on real customer and internal software projects while receiving clear guidance, code reviews, and regular feedback.

Your responsibilities will include:

Developing and maintaining web applications with PHP and Laravel
Implementing new features based on technical requirements and user stories
Building and integrating REST APIs
Working with relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL
Fixing bugs and improving existing application functionality
Writing clean, understandable, and maintainable code
Supporting the development of automated tests
Participating in code reviews and technical discussions
Working with Git-based development workflows
Collaborating with frontend developers, project managers, and other team members
Documenting your work and keeping assigned tasks up to date
Gradually taking ownership of individual features and application components

Depending on the project, you may also work with technologies such as Vue.js, JavaScript, Docker, queues, third-party APIs, and automation platforms.

Requirements

We don’t expect perfection. We expect a strong foundation, reliability, and the willingness to improve.

This role is a good fit for you if you:

Have approximately one year of practical experience in PHP development
Have already worked with Laravel on professional, university, freelance, or personal projects
Understand the fundamentals of object-oriented programming
Have experience working with databases and SQL
Understand the basics of REST APIs and web application architecture
Have basic experience with Git
Can independently understand and complete clearly defined development tasks
Are willing to ask questions when requirements are unclear
Are interested in writing clean and maintainable code
Are reliable and communicate progress or blockers openly
Have excellent English skills at C1 or C2 level
Are based in or near Prishtina and are able to work in a hybrid setup

Experience with Vue.js, automated testing, Docker, Linux, CI/CD pipelines, or cloud environments is an advantage, but not required.

A university degree is welcome, but practical skills, motivation, and the quality of your work are more important to us.

Benefits

Work on real software projects from the beginning
Structured onboarding and clearly defined development tasks
Regular code reviews and direct feedback from experienced developers
Professional training and opportunities to improve your technical skills
A clear development path from Junior Developer to Software Developer
Modern development tools and professional workflows
Company laptop and the necessary work equipment
Flexible hybrid work with regular on-site collaboration in Prishtina
Direct communication and short decision-making processes
A supportive team where questions and new ideas are welcome
The opportunity to take on more responsibility as your skills grow
Long-term career opportunities within a growing software company
Free beverages and snacks in the office
Free parking

You won’t be left alone with unclear tasks.

At the beginning, you will receive structured assignments, technical guidance, and regular feedback. As you become more confident, you will take responsibility for larger features and increasingly participate in technical decisions.

We value developers who communicate honestly, think about the quality of their work, and want to understand more than just the code directly in front of them.

This position is for someone who wants to grow.

Someone who is motivated to improve their Laravel skills, learn professional software development workflows, and build software that creates measurable value for real businesses.

Apply now and tell us briefly about your previous Laravel experience, the projects you have worked on, and what you would like to learn next.

Please include your CV and, where available, links to your GitHub profile, portfolio, or previous projects.
