Junior GRC Analyst

ICT Graduate: Junior Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) Analyst

• Earn while you learn. Gain hands-on Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) experience while completing your studies.
• Part-time opportunity 2-3 days a week on a maximum term contract.
• Protect what matters. Help strengthen systems, gather evidence and produce artefacts that are needed to authorise systems.
• We’re a ‘Family Friendly’ certified workplace – we understand the diverse roles our team members need to play within their own unique family setting and actively support them.

The systems Australians rely on every day need people who can help make technology secure, accountable, and acceptable for use.

From Government services to Critical National Infrastructure, strong GRC practices help ensure that technology is delivered responsibly and securely. As an ICT Cadet specialising in GRC, you’ll support the processes that identify risks, maintain evidence, assess obligations and improve the way cyber security controls are managed across environments which Australian Government clients depend on.

This is an opportunity to build your career while you complete your studies. You'll gain practical experience in ICT governance, cyber security risk management, compliance reporting and audit support while working alongside experienced cyber and technology professionals.

This is a part-time cadetship position designed on a maximum term contract, aimed to fit around your studies, giving you the opportunity to earn while you learn and gain valuable industry experience.

• Contribute to reporting and prepare material for internal and external audits.
• Help maintain policies, standards, procedures, registers and other governance documentation.
• Assist with tracking remediation actions, exceptions, review dates and governance artefact updates.
• Collaborate with cyber security, service delivery, engineering and business stakeholders to support better risk-informed decision making.

• Is an Australian citizen in order to obtain and maintain a National Security Clearance.
• Is currently studying a degree or diploma in a relevant field.

• Enjoys understanding how technology, security controls, processes and people fit together.
• Has strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the confidence to ask questions and investigate detail.

• Communicates clearly and works well with others.
• Is interested in governance frameworks, cyber security standards, audit, assurance, risk management or compliance.
• Is curious, reliable and eager to keep learning.
• Takes pride in producing quality work.

Why join us?

You'll be joining a team that invests in early careers and understands that expertise is developed through support, exposure and practical experience.

We offer:

• Part-time work designed to fit around your study commitments.
• Earn while you learn with meaningful, paid industry experience.
• Flexible working arrangements where operational requirements allow.
• Mentoring from experienced cyber security professionals.
• Ongoing technical and professional development.

• Exposure to real ICT governance, cyber security risk and compliance activities supporting Australian Government environments.
• A supportive and inclusive team where different perspectives are valued.

Due to the nature of our work with Australian Government clients, applicants must be Australian Citizens at the time of application and be willing and eligible to obtain and maintain an Australian Government security clearance. (A coordinated National Police Check and an active NV1 Security Clearance is required to work with this client).

We encourage you to apply

You don't need to meet every criterion to be considered. If you're excited by the opportunity to build a career in ICT governance, risk and compliance, enjoy learning, and want to contribute to work that protects services Australians rely on, we'd love to hear from you.

Bring your curiosity. We'll help you build the rest.
