Junior Embedded Software & Cybersecurity Engineer – Rail

ISE, part of Consilium Safety Group, is hiring a junior embedded software and cybersecurity engineer for railway safety applications. You will develop secure embedded systems for fire detection and protection, mentored by a senior engineer with railway system experience.

Focus areas include embedded cybersecurity on Renesas MCUs with ThreadX RTOS, TCMS communications, and IEC/EN 62443-4-2 alignment. Collaboration across R&D, systems, validation, and cybersecurity teams is expected.

Support cybersecurity functions in embedded RTOS-based systems. Assist in secure communication, authentication and integrity mechanisms. Contribute to software testing, debugging, and verification activities. Help implement cybersecurity requirements aligned with IEC/EN 62443-4-2. Support documentation, configuration management, and technical reporting. Participate in system integration, troubleshooting and lab testing. Degree in a relevant field (computer/electronic engineering or CS). Basic C programming experience on embedded systems. Understanding of RTOS, TCP/IP and embedded communication protocols. Interest in cybersecurity principles (auth, secure comms, integrity).
