We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Junior Buyer Planner to join our Supply Chain team. In this role, you will support procurement, inventory planning, supplier management, and production scheduling activities to ensure the efficient flow of materials and timely fulfillment of business needs. The ideal candidate has experience in purchasing, inventory management, ERP systems and is eager to grow within a dynamic supply chain environment.
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Junior Buyer Planner to join our Supply Chain team. In this role, you will support procurement, inventory planning, supplier management, and production scheduling activities to ensure the efficient flow of materials and timely fulfillment of business needs. The ideal candidate has experience in purchasing, inventory management, ERP systems and is eager to grow within a dynamic supply chain environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Create, review, and manage purchase orders to ensure timely delivery of materials and products.
- Maintain accurate ERP system data, including supplier information, lead times, minimum order quantities (MOQs), pricing, and purchase order status.
- Monitor inventory levels and analyze purchasing trends to support efficient inventory management and replenishment planning.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including Production, Operations, Logistics, and Supply Chain teams, to identify and fulfill procurement requirements.
- Communicate with suppliers to confirm order status, delivery schedules, and resolve supply-related issues.
- Support demand planning, material requirements planning (MRP), and production scheduling activities.
- Prepare purchasing and inventory reports to support decision-making and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Assist with logistics coordination, supplier performance tracking, and supply chain optimization projects.
- Provide backup support across Purchasing, Logistics, Production Scheduling, and other supply chain functions as required.
- Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedure
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Business Analytics, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, buying, inventory planning, supply chain coordination, materials planning, or a related role.
- Experience working with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite, or similar).
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (PivotTables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, data analysis).
- We are seeking candidates who reside within a reasonable commuting distance of Northvale, NJ. REQUIRED
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with MRP (Material Requirements Planning) and inventory control processes.
- Exposure to manufacturing, distribution, or production environments.
