Junior data engineer in the Philippines who develops and maintains ETL/ELT pipelines and supports Azure data platforms (Data Factory, Databricks, Synapse), monitors performance, handles incidents, and implements data quality and governance. Acts as main point of contact with Chinese counterparts, so fluent spoken and written Mandarin is required.
Responsibilities:
Main SPOC for the Chinese counterparts.
Develop and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines.
Build data ingestion and transformation solutions.
Support Azure Data Factory, Databricks, and Synapse environments.
Monitor and optimize data platform performance.
Implement data quality and validation checks.
Support CI/CD and DevOps processes.
Troubleshoot production incidents and service requests.
Implement security and governance controls.
Support DataOps and automation initiatives.
Maintain technical documentation and operational procedures.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.
Fluent in Mandarin, both spoken and written.
Some experience in Azure Data Engineering.
Fresh graduates with a Bachelor’s degree in any IT related course are welcome to apply, provided they are fluent in spoken and written Mandarin and willing to undergo training as a Junior Azure Data Engineer.
Candidates without an IT related degree may also be considered, provided they are fluent in spoken and written Mandarin and willing to undergo training as a Junior Azure Data Engineer.
