A junior DevSecOps engineer builds and maintains secure CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (AWS CDK/CloudFormation), and automated security/compliance scanning on an AWS-based platform supporting a large U.S. federal government modernization program. Hybrid role in Reston, VA with 3 remote days, using AI-assisted DevSecOps tooling.
Compensation: $80k – $95k • No equity

Position Summary: The Jr DevSecOps Engineer is responsible for building, implementing, and supporting secure software delivery pipelines for an AWS-based federal platform. Working as part of an Agile engineering team, this role develops and maintains CI/CD pipelines, implements Infrastructure as Code (IaC), integrates automated security controls, and supports secure cloud deployments. The Jr DevSecOps Engineer collaborates closely with Technical Leads, Developers, Cloud Engineers, Security Engineers, QA engineers, and fellow DevSecOps engineers while leveraging AI-assisted DevSecOps tools to improve security, automation, software quality, and delivery efficiency.
