Responsibilities:
- Own the design and delivery of software solutions across a modern React, Next.js, TypeScript, and JavaScript stack, writing high-quality code and setting the architectural patterns the team builds on.
- Build, integrate, and own backend services, APIs, business logic, and data flows, ensuring they scale reliably.
- Lead technical planning, architecture discussions, and solution design for significant features and initiatives, and influence the broader platform's technical direction.
- Lead code reviews and uphold engineering standards across the team, providing feedback that raises the quality bar and helps other engineers grow.
- Own application performance, reliability, accessibility, and maintainability for the systems you're responsible for, debugging and resolving complex production and development issues.
- Drive automated testing practices (unit, integration, and end-to-end) and the quality assurance process so software consistently meets functional and non-functional requirements.
- Work across third‑party integrations, analytics, feature flagging, payment systems, CMS platforms, and cloud environments, and improve CI/CD and release management.
- Mentor less‑experienced engineers, partnering with QA and engineering teams to deliver high-quality solutions with seamless integration across application layers.
- Create and maintain technical documentation to guide future development and ensure knowledge sharing across teams.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends, and bring them to bear on the platform.
