Java Software Engineer - Scrum Master

Leidos is seeking Java Software Engineer - Scrum Master to join the Air Traffic Business Area within the Homeland Sector, supporting the development of next-generation flight service and air traffic systems. This work aligns with the FAA’s broader initiative to modernize legacy flight service capabilities, replacing aging infrastructure with scalable, cloud-based platforms designed to improve safety and operational efficiency—particularly in remote and high-dependency aviation environments. These efforts focus on delivering mission-critical, future-ready solutions that provide safety-critical flight services to the pilot community.

You will work alongside cross-functional teams and technical leaders to deliver predictable outcomes in a highly regulated, safety-critical environment.

• Leverage modern DevSecOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, AI-assisted development tools, and engineering best practices to accelerate the delivery of secure, high-quality software.

• Coordinate with the Release Train Engineer, management, and cross-functional stakeholders to communicate team status, risks, dependencies, and delivery progress.

• Support deployment, operational troubleshooting, and resolution of critical issues in development, test, and production environments.

• Mentor junior engineers and foster collaboration across engineering teams to ensure successful sprint execution and project delivery.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field with 4+ years of relevant experience or a Master’s degree with 2+ years of prior experience
