The Java Software Engineer will design, implement, and support scalable software solutions while adhering to security standards and best practices. The role involves collaborating with development teams, conducting code reviews, and working with microservices, cloud infrastructure, and various database technologies.

As part of the team, you will:
Work with software development teams to gather requirements and ensure best practices adhere
Design, Implement & Support solutions for application development, security, analytics, and performance management
Conform to existing industry and Verizon security coding standards adhering to fortify scan and other security tool review requirements
Conduct code reviews for other members of the team and do peer code reviews to make sure the code is following standards set forward by the architects
Resolve code issues with urgency
Key qualifications and skills to succeed in this role:
Good English (spoken and written)
Experience in Java
SQL and NoSQL Databases
Algorithm knowledge
Agile methodologies management
